About
Houston Bruck is the Deputy Administrator for Farm Loan Programs for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA).
As Deputy Administrator, a position he has held since November 2024, Bruck oversees a $33 billion loan portfolio and provides leadership, management and direction to FSA’s direct and guaranteed lending programs, including annual authorizations in excess of $7.5 billion for new loans and guarantees.
Bruck began his FSA career delivering Farm Loan Programs in Oregon and Washington and has since held various positions in at the FSA National Office in Washington, D.C., including as Director of the Loan Making Division.
Bruck is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute Leadership for a Democratic Society Program and holds degrees from Oregon State University in Agricultural and Resource Economics and International Studies.
