Indianapolis, May 31, 2023 - Physical loss loans through the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) can help producers repair or replace damaged or destroyed physical property essential to the success of the agricultural operation, including livestock losses. Examples of property commonly affected include essential farm buildings, fixtures to real estate, equipment, livestock, perennial crops, fruit and nut bearing trees, and harvested or stored crops and hay.  

Impacted Area: Kentucky 
 
Triggering Disaster: High winds and straight-line winds that occurred on March 3, 2023 

Application Deadline: December 28, 2023  

Primary Counties Eligible: 40 Counties in Kentucky  

Contiguous Counties Also Eligible: 
  • Indiana – Clark, Crawford, Harrison, Jefferson, Perry, Spencer, Switzerland and Warrick
  • Kentucky – 35 Additional Counties
  • Ohio – Adams, Brown and Clermont
  • Tennessee – Clay, Macon, Pickett, Scott & Sumner
